Nick Knight

Managing Director

Nick Knight is an accomplished leader in the valuation of commercial and residential real estate across the UK and Europe, bringing over 30 years of experience to his role. As Managing Director, Lines of Business at CBRE London, Nick holds responsibility for the strategic oversight and daily operations of a team comprising 350 valuation professionals throughout the UK and Ireland.

His extensive career highlights include providing expert valuation advice to diverse sectors, and a prestigious client base that spans UK REITs, fund managers, private equity, sovereign wealth funds, and major financial lenders. Some notable assignments under Nick’s direction include valuations for significant portfolios such as Landsec (£10 billion), Derwent London (£5 billion), Global Switch (£6 billion), Tritax Big Box (£5 billion), and Get Living (£3 billion).

Nick’s educational background includes an Upper Second-Class Honours BA in Politics from Durham University, followed by a Diploma in Surveying, with distinction, from the College of Estate Management, where he also received the Hammerson Prize. Committed to continual professional development, Nick recently completed the Cambridge Sustainable Real Estate programme at Cambridge University.

Throughout his tenure at CBRE, Nick has held several key leadership roles. He was appointed Managing Director, Lines of Business (2024); UK Executive Board member (2020); Head of UK & Ireland Valuation Advisory (2018); UK Management Board member (2007); and Executive Director (2006).

Nick actively contributes to industry standards, and practices as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), RICS Registered Valuer, and a participant in multiple RICS forums, including the Commercial Property Forum and Valuation Leaders Forum. Additionally, he regularly participates in the Bank of England’s Commercial Property Forum and is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

Ovin Mohan has coached over 1000 senior leaders representing the world’s largest companies. As a result, he is recognized as a “Brilliant” (CPO – JustEat), “Exceptional” (CTO – Prologis), and “Amazing” (CFO – Holcim) Executive Coach.

He has created award-winning coaching programs for Apple and received five-star feedback from 360-degree Coaching at Christie’s for leaders C-suite -2. He is a guest lecturer on various MSc programs focusing on strategic leadership development. He advises on a Board that informs the training for the leading coaching training company in the US. Ovin has led large-scale leadership development programs for NATO, the NHS, Barclays, and HSBC and has lived and worked in Chicago, NYC, Valencia, and London.

He was previously Head of Leadership Development, managing the largest CMI centre in the UK, delivering and assessing leadership capabilities up to PhD level. He also designed the curriculum for the Institute of Leadership and Management at L7 (MSc equivalent), which received an “Outstanding” award from ILM.

As a former athlete, in both martial arts and football, his approach to leadership development is driven by teaching deliberate practice of tools, providing feedback to refine those skills, and holding the highest standard of competitive accountability. This is further strengthened by his master’s in occupational psychology.
